thedisorderly: #usually on teen shows none of the main characters ever have money problems that last beyond a single episode   #but i like that money is an ongoing issue for scott and his mom   #as someone who grew up with a single mom working her ass off to support us i really relate to scott   #it’s just little things like how in season 1   #scott lameted over his 80 dollar inhaler   #how it took him a few eps to get a new cell phone   #after derek broke it   #the fact that he works at the vet   #and the fact that melissa taking a shift off to see scott play actually meant that money would be even more tight for them   #it’s just a nice touch of realism   #scott and his mom give me all the feelings
